SHOWDOWN!

After agonizing and working and re-working my logo/brand identity...I think I have changed my mind...again. This time it's not by much.  I feel like what I've come up with for my main site (http://mashulu757.com/) and matching blog, Twitter, and Etsy shop is "pretty" but doesn't say "MASHULU" to me.  I want to convey a more funky but not too cliche message at a glance...like a good logo should.  Don't get me wrong, I am very happy with my owl/adinkra symbol logo. It finally looks like I want it to.  I think my main issue is my font, the flowery filigree accent and maybe my color choices.  I know I want to keep the idea of black and white and two other colors.  I've been playing around with the basic components.  I'm still figuring out how to incorporate color...here's one of my ideas up against what I have now. What do you think?

On another note, my shop is almost empty again...and my camera batteries died just in time for Cyber Monday (boooo!).  It's even hard to sell REDICULOUSLY priced custom bags without pics I guess.  But what I love about calling all the shots in this situation is that I can have another rediculous sale whenever I want!  I feel like having a contest about this logo thing...hmmmm...

I like the second logo. It looks a bit more 'Egyptian'. You have a wonderful blog and great shop.

You know what? You are exactly right...it does look more 'Egyptian', doesn't it? Not necessarily my intention, but I guess I couldn't avoid it with the hieroglyphic looking owl, huh? Thanks for your input and compliment!

I like the second one too. There's just something about the curve of the font that seems to fit the theme of your blog, seems a little more sophisticated than the first one.

P.S. Your handbags are fantastic!
